Stainless Custom Frame Sets
I was the first and only builder in Minnesota to build with aero space grade stainless steel tubes. This was tubing from Carpenter technologies Aermet 100 alloy. The tubing came out in the early or mid 90s, I built a number of frames from these tubes in 95 and 96. The make up of the Aermet 100 alloy was different and virtually dent proof and extremely more difficult to build with than the 400 series stainless now used for Reynolds 953 and the 17-7 for KVA tubes. These newer tubes preform like high end heat treated steel alloy tubes and are vastly easier to build with, short of the issues normally encountered with brazing stainless steel. Although not as indestructible as Aermet 100 alloy these are exceptional tubes to build with and they create great performing frame sets. You will find my prices extremely competitive to and other builders most likely lower in comparison. This is due to my experience working with complex and difficult alloy steels and stainless that many others have never seen or worked with. Stainless both nickel based and chromium based require different approaches to brazing with which I have decades of experience with. This allows me to build all frames both steel and stainless with little difficulty.
